Submission

This first step is critical as Pharmac will assess and rank your product in the list of products they would like to fund.

Feature too low on the list will make it difficult to progress. Ensuring product comparisons are relevant can significantly help ensure correct prioritization.

A good submission will also include the impact on health outcomes of population groups experiencing health disparities.

Meeting with Pharmac prior to submitting is also a good option, to align the submission design before you begin. This also highlights to Pharmac a submission is likely which can help their planning.

Negotiation

Once your product has been reviewed by PTAC (Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee), regardless of the outcome, meeting with Pharmac again is critical in building your funding and prices proposal. We have a unique way of presenting that aligns well with Pharmac's needs and ensures the right discussions take place.
